made’n’found had a great weekend at Yarraville Markets and also had a fantastic sponsorship offer - more to come on that soon.

I’m up to my eyeballs getting interviews organised, uploading to my Etsy and MadeIt stores and writing articles - so it is VERY busy - and that’s just TODAY!

Wrap Up: Finders Keepers Brisbane

The Finders Keepers Market in Brisbane last weekend was incredible - in fact I can truthfully say it is one of the most impressive markets I have seen. Huge congratulations to Sarah and Holly and the team - you have a brilliant market on your hands!!

It was so difficult to not purchase something from every stall - I can truthfully say that every single stall was outstanding and represented the best handmade available in this country. If I’d had room (and enough spare cash) I would have gone a bit nuts! However - I wasn’t able to completely resist…

I bought this fabulous print from Almond Tree Frames - Angeline is a Victorian artist who made the trip north! I couldn’t say no to such a lovely, affirming print. The frame is from Ikea and really makes it look brilliant.

still in QLD

lots of fun to come after the success of Finders Keepers in Brisbane. The market was brilliant - so many talented artisans and so much I wanted to buy - I could have genuinely bought something from every stall, had I been able to!

I am still in Queensland - flying home tomorrow. I’ll start letting sharing all the fun stuff when I get back!

FINDERS KEEPERS @ CREATIVE SYDNEY

Finders Keepers (the fabulous markets) were recently part of a panel discussion at Creative Sydney called Making It Happen, which I am told was fantastic. Sarah from FK has shared with readers of their blog her key points (plus some!) and I would encourage you to check it out here.

In the meantime, Sarah has kindly allowed me to repost the video they showed as part of their presentation - it gives you a great glimpse at the amount of work that goes into selling your handmade at a major market such as Finders Keepers.

magnets. Who knew?

certainly not me. I made a few of several items for the market today. One of the best parts of today was observing what was popular and what people showed most interest in. Who knew it would be magnets? I sold a bunch and I have made 58 new ones tonight for tomorrow (so please buy some!). They’re made from bottle caps and vintage papers and I have to admit, they are cute and look great on your fridge. I only use what papers I can source so if you see one you like….grab it because I cannot guarantee I’ll be able to repeat it!
