Official Charity of made’n’found

I mentioned in this post that I was speaking at an event for The Warwick Foundation.
It is our great pleasure to tell you that The Warwick Foundation is the official preferred charity of made’n’found!!
You can visit their website to gather more information but, in a nutshell, we’ve chosen to support TWF for several reasons:
- made’n’found founder Kass Hall has been personally affected by cancer 3 times. She is now feeling fantastic but knows first hand just how important research and support for people with cancer is.
- While children and the elderly have seen mortality rates improve 30% in 30 years, the 18-40 age group has seen only a 1% increase. This is simply not good enough!
- As many of the people who will utilise made’n’found will fit into the 18-40 age group (or at least feel like they’re still there!), it’s a great opportunity to support people our own age.
- Those in the art and craft community KNOW the therapy that making things can provide - in what can sometimes be a dark world, creating art and craft can bring some sunshine into our lives. And we know the power of community. Let’s harness that and support TWF.
The Warwick Foundation supports people living with cancer, aged between 18-40, in areas of health information, peer support and information particularly relevant to this age group - career interuption, relationship difficulties (including fertility), physical barriers, and more. It is the ONLY organisation of its kind in Australia and relies on donations and support from business and individuals.
made’n’found is proud to be associated with and supportive of The Warwick Foundation!
